    This XCMG XS163J is a 16 ton single drum roller fitted with a padfoot drum. The FHWA geotechnical manual lists sheepsfoot or padfoot rollers as the first choice for clay and silt soils, and our single drum vs double drum guide explains when a padfoot drum is the right choice.
